Gift Aid
Make your donation worth almost a third more with Gift Aid Declaration – enabling us to claim tax back from the government.
Gift Aid is a government scheme which enables registered charities in the United Kingdom to claim the tax back from the Inland Revenue on donations.
How it works
If you are currently a UK taxpayer, and you fill out a Gift Aid Declaration when you make a donation we can claim back 25p for every £1 that you donate.
Once you have signed your Gift Aid Declaration it is valid for all gifts in the future when signing the Declaration.
Alternatively you can complete and return the Gift Aid form below.
In detail
You can make a Gift Aid Declaration in respect of one or all donations made to The Breathing Life Trust, and the Declaration can last indefinitely.
The Declaration will be effective as long as you pay United Kingdom income and/or capital gains tax equal to or greater than the tax paid on your donation.
The Breathing Life Trust Charity will claim back tax at the basic rate, so if you are a higher rate taxpayer you can claim further tax relief on your Self-Assessment form.
You can make a Declaration and join the scheme by post at;
The Breathing life Trust 18-22 Wigmore Street London W1U 2RG ,by email on info@breathinglife.org or call us on 020 7 323 4450 to make a Declaration. You will have 30 days to cancel, if necessary, before a claim is made. You are able to cancel at any time after that, should your circumstances change.
You must keep the charity informed of changes in your tax status and changes of name and/or address.
